Merci Cafe is a hidden gem! This charming, family-owned French cafe exceeded all expectations. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive, making the experience feel warm and personal. The coffee was rich and smooth, and the crepes—absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is cozy, and the French decor adds a lovely touch of charm that transports you right to Paris. I definitely plan on coming back and highly recommend Merci Cafe to anyone looking for a sweet little spot with heart and flavor.
They nailed it. Super delicious. I will definitely return. I had the salmon croissant special with an extra egg. It had an olive tapenade along the bottom, which was a touch I had never experienced before. So good. My daughter had the ham and cheese crepe and wanted to make sure I put that in the 5-star review. We all enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!!
This place HAS THE BEST QUICHE! I got the special which was spinach and goat cheese and OMG it was melt in my mouth amazing! Will be here every morning for the rest of my trip! The employees are SUPER sweet and kind and the cappuccino I got was so good I was cherishing every sip! If you want a good breakfast place GO HERE! You will not be disappointed in what ever you choose for breakfast!
Spacious and simple interior, nice staff, great food - the ham quiche was my fave - and okay coffee. Ordered a ham and cheese crepe (12) and a quiche (14) and both were great - a little on the pricier end but I understand that these dishes are not abundantly made at this beach. I ordered a cappuccino and got hot coffee with milk (in pic). A let down as I didn't receive what I ordered - and the coffee bean taste was okay - but I wouldn't let that decrease a star from the review. My order was to go and it took about 10-15min.
Happened upon this cafe while in the area to work, and had a very pleasant experience. House coffee- great, very smooth, just how I like it. Served steam cream with it- love! Ham and cheese croissant- wonderful. Little salad they serve with the croissant? Fantastic, you can tell the dressing was made in house. Cafe is super clean, bathroom was spotless and I’m a critic of bathrooms. Great job to whoever runs this cafe. If I lived in the area I would come here to work remote all the time!
So my baby Shay and I went here for breakfast this morning and all I can say is this restaurant is amazing. Incredibly clean. The staff was incredibly friendly. They have a very nice menu that's not overly complicated. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the French breakfast, the croissant that was stuffed with ham with over easy eggs on top of it and it was absolutely delicious. My wife had the flats croissants eggs Benedict. She absolutely loved it. The mimosas were wonderful. The atmosphere is terrific. This is truly a gem buried in the heart of South Sarasota.
Our first visit here! There will be many more! Authentic, delicious food. Great drink menu -my expresso was rich and delightful; my friends enjoyed their coffee beverages, including the the decaf - all coffee drinks are available in decaf! Service was amazing - extra fun that the person taking care of us had a lovely french accent. The menu offers a nice variety! Prices were very affordable -remarkably so for excellent french cuisine! A lovely selection of pastries and deserts - very fresh. Soft music playing completed the ambience! Comfortable indoor seating with outdoor seating available as well! We celebrated a birthday here and received celebrity treatment with a sparkler in a gorgeous desert confection!
